Cottagers can vote and use municipal facilities
Municipal elections take place on November 14, 1994.
Three advance polls will be held:
• Saturday, October 29;
• Saturday, November 5;
• Wednesday, November 9.
Candidates have until October 14 to file.
As ratepayers in Glamorgan, we are encouraged to exercise our franchise either by voting in person or by making use of the proxy provisions in voting. With a form signed by the registered voter for whom you are marking the ballot, you may mark a ballot for yourself and that one other person. If, however, you are voting for family members who are on the voting list, you may mark the ballot for all who have given you a signed form. If you have any questions about voting, call the municipal clerk, Michael Rutter, at 447-2410. Proxy forms and information about candidates may be obtained from the Association president, David Wilmot.
As Glamorgan ratepayers, we have access to other facilities in the township. The community centre may be booked by individuals and groups through the municipal office. Tennis courts are available on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. Composters can be obtained at a cost of $18 by calling the municipal office.
