Emergency directions
1994 Fall Newsletter
A good idea for emergencies is to write out on a card clear directions on how to reach your cottage. Tape the card in a place near the phone. In an emergency when you may be flustered and need to summon the ambulance, police, or fire department, read from the card. You may have friends using your cottage who are unfamiliar with the area and for whom the card literally may be a lifesaver. It is unreasonable to expect that local response personnel are familiar with every cottage road and driveway. A copy of the Minnicock address and phone list kept by the phone may assist you in summoning help from friends and neighbours. Emergency numbers are included at the beginning of the Minnicock address list.
